A&B Young Adult Retreat Day Guildford
About this event
Part of our Young Adult Retreat series: "You also are my witnesses, because you have been with me" (Jn 15:27). Pope Leo XIV's message for the 40th World Youth Day.
Young Adults (18-35) from across the UK are invited to join the Youth team from the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton for a Retreat Day at St Joseph's Church, Guildford, on Saturday 20 February.
This retreat day will focus on renewing our friendship with Christ during Lent.
'The gaze of Jesus, who always wants nothing but our good, precedes us (cf. Mk 10:21). He does not want us to be servants, nor "activists" of a political party; he calls us to be with him as friends, so that our lives may be renewed. And witness arises spontaneously from the joyful newness of this friendship.'
Pope Leo XIV's message for the 40th World Youth Day.
Join us and guest speakers for a powerful one-day retreat — a sacred opportunity to encounter Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Come as you are, bringing your fears, joys, struggles and hopes before Him in an atmosphere of prayer, worship and openness.
Standard tickets: £20. Lunch and refreshments are included in the ticket price.
Participants are very welcome to join the Parish Mass during the day, with social time at a local pub to follow after the retreat.
