Following last month’s successful hike and Mass, we’re doing it again!
This time
We’re delighted to be joined by Fr Matus from Brentwood Cathedral, who will celebrate Holy Mass for us at Hadleigh Castle (Saturday afternoon Mass, not a Vigil).
Route
Benfleet Station → Hadleigh Castle Country Park → Holy Mass at Hadleigh Castle → back to Benfleet Station.
Optional pub stop on the way back for those who want food/drinks.
Practical details
- Start: Benfleet Station, ready to depart at 10:30.
A group will be travelling on the 09:45 direct train from London Liverpool Street (arriving Benfleet 10:30). You’re welcome to join them there or meet directly at the station.
- Duration: Roughly 6–7 hours walking + breaks, lunch and Mass → finish around 18:00.
- Ticket: An open return is recommended for flexibility.
- What to bring: Plenty of water, a proper lunch, snacks, and your rosary (looking for 5 volunteers to lead a decade each!).
Registration is mandatory (and free).
You’ll receive a confirmation email with your QR code, which will be scanned before we start. Unregistered people unfortunately cannot join.
