About this event

We would like to extend a warm invitation to a free event titled ‘In the Image of God: The Human Body as Gift’ at Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School on Monday, June 29th (5-7:10pm). All are welcome. We will come together as a community to discover, dialogue, and discern together. We are delighted to welcome Dr Antonia Braithwaite (Marriage and Family Life Coordinator, Diocese of East Anglia) and Emily Hawkins (educator, tutor, and Catholic speaker) to our school community. This evening will tackle questions such as: can we reduce the human body to just its parts? What about the richness, complexity, and complementarity of the male-female binary? Is difference a bad thing? How are we to understand and believe in the goodness of our bodies when age and vulnerability strike? How far should we take it with technology that allows us to exert control over our bodies?

Drinks and nibbles will be served and followed by a roundtable activity and a Q&A panel.

Free parking on site.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email the project co-director Miss Gallego (gallegom@nbs.herts.sch.uk).
